HOW GAMELOFT HELPED
MAXIS REACH SPEED JUNKIES
Long before the Pokemon Go hype train, brand marketers were quick to be part of the attention economy, plastering their messaging all over any platform
that was attracting & engaging a demographic that
matched its own. In most cases, little care was injected
into whether the brand’s value proposition matched
the user’s organic experience on the platform. There
was however one exception, says Babar Khan Javed,
the chief content officer of Centric DXB and a graduate of “Squared”, Google’s digital marketing program.
Two years ago, Gameloft launched its mobile advertising solutions thanks to its proprietary ad server and a
strong local commercial presence in 80 countries.

EFFECT
How Donald Trump’s presidency,
policies and politics will impact
the profession
Given the magnitude of potential policy and legisla- tive changes looming on the horizon, the next 11 months are going to be an absolute boon to most companies and their consulting partners. Unless, of course, those changes never materialize because
they are trumped by legislative gridlock, geopolitical strife and
a fear-inducing cocktail of uncertainty and volatility. In this scenario, 2017 could be a historic bust. A third possible future seems
more likely to occur: The same technological, economic, geopolitical and environmental drivers of risk and opportunity that influenced businesses in 2016 are likely to continue to continue to drive
companies to seek help from their consulting partners in 2017.
Each February, we shine a light on smaller firms
that are shaking up the profession from the bottom
up. They are firms breaking new ground in terms of
firm management, but they are also breaking new
ground in terms of their financial performance. This
year, it was no different. In 2016, our seven winning firms grew revenue at 45 percent. In addition,
we highlight this year’s Seven To Watch—
impressive firms, for sure, but they aren’t quite ready to
be named one of our Seven Small Jewels.
STAY TUNED.
