Suzanne Vitale has three decades in leading technol- ogy innovations at the in- tersection of business anddigital transformation for improving government. After several executive roles in federal, state andlocal government, Vitale joinedCambria Solutions in 2013 whereshe led the company to 30 percentyear-over-year growth and expansion into new markets.
In January 2020, Vitale wasnamed Cambria President whereshe manages all technical and management consulting services acrosseight corporate offices nationwide, and directs investments in areassuch as agile development, humancentered design, platform as a service cloud enablement, robotics, and systems migration, integrationand modernization.
“I’m excited about the future
of the company; we are well posi-
tioned to take advantage of emerg-
ing trends and bring more technolo-
gy innovation to the public sector,”
she says. “We are launching an In-
novation Lab, making significant in-
vestments in our core services, and
maturing our internal infrastructure
to support our growth acceleration
and scalability. While certainly
2020 will have its challenges given
the national economic landscape,
I’m looking forward to building a
company that not only survives but
more importantly thrives through
and beyond it.”
Ask Vitale what she enjoys most
about consulting, she says: “Simply
put, being an architect—of building
great teams and great solutions that
sustain over time,” she says. “I’m
at my best when breaking down the
biggest hairiest problems that peo-
ple don’t think can be done. I enjoy
the creative and strategic process of
business and technology transfor-
mation that ultimately accomplish-
es extraordinary results.”
Her greatest professional achieve-
ment, she says is the success she’s
had in developing and leading high-
performing teams to achieve the
seemingly impossible.
“At Cambria I’ve led us through
expansive growth—double digit
revenue growth year after year,
capitalized on providing digital
transformation services, deepened
our qualifications and diversifica-
tion of services, and drove a three-
fold growth in head count across
multiple geographies—and firmly
established Cambria as a national
IT and management consulting
firm,” Vitale says. “It boils down
to hiring the right people, under-
standing what problem or chal-
lenge we are trying to solve, and
bringing an innovative and growth
mindset for harnessing the digital
technology revolution.”
On a personal level it certainly is
motherhood and how she somehow
was able to juggle (certainly not
balance) raising a family with pro-
fessional demands. “It’s no small
feat and one that many of our male
counterparts aren’t subjected to at
the same level of pressure, societal
expectations, and self-doubt to nav-
igate,” Vitale says. “So yes, that’s a
big achievement.”
