objectives. Chris Mann, Managing Partner and CEO of MorganFranklin, sat down with Consulting to discuss the firm’s financial
performance and outlook.
Consulting: What were the main
factors that contributed to your
firm’s exceptional growth?
Mann: Our firm experienced growth
across all of our existing and new geographies due to increasing demand
for our services. That demand was
driven largely by the dynamic regulatory environment, an active M&A
market and the continuous evolution
of technology in driving business.
In addition, our relentless focus on
being a trusted advisor to our clients has led to virtually 100 percent
client retention and significant
growth at many of our accounts,
while we also built new client relationships at a rapid pace.
Consulting: How is this year
shaping up for your firm?
Mann: This has been a monumen-
tal year. In late July, the firm was
acquired by Vaco to become Va-
co’s global consulting platform.
We are now part of a global pro-
fessional services organization
enabling increased scale to serve
our clients, support our people
and accelerate our growth as a
premier global consulting brand.
This transaction also puts us in
position to bring our methodology
based transformational solutions
to Vaco’s vast client base as we
collectively offer our collective cli-
ents seamless access to an end-to-
end professional services solution.
Consulting: How would you describe
your firm’s outlook for 2020?
Mann: We are incredibly optimistic about our future. We see tremendous opportunity to accelerate our
levers for growth, particularly related to geographic expansion, service
enhancement and industry focus
and specialization. The breadth of
services we are bringing to support
organizations through business,
finance and technology transformation initiatives will continue to
lead our path to growth. We are also
highly energized by the momentum
that our union with Vaco provides
us from a growth perspective.
Consulting: What are your firm’s
biggest challenges in 2020?
Mann: The most important chal-
lenge for us in 2020 will be continu-
ally building awareness across Vaco
regarding the value that Morgan-
Franklin can bring to their clients.
Vaco has an incredibly entrepreneur-
ial culture, and it will be important
for us to educate our new partners
on how we can help them grow the
footprint inside their outstanding cli-
ent base. In addition, we will need to
continue to recruit new talent, par-
ticularly as we focus on geographic
expansion, and retain our great peo-
ple in a tight labor market.
Consulting: What does being named
