Consulting to discuss the firm’s
financial performance, overall
outlook and its placing on the
Fastest Growing Firms list.
Consulting: What were the main
factors that contributed to your firm’s
DelGenio: Plative started as a
Salesforce.com partner when the
leadership team realized that many
of our clients required professional
services and advisory on integrating
their accounting system as well as
their products and data warehous-
es. By acquiring Toronto-based
Oracle NetSuite consulting partner,
Audaxium in early 2019, Plative
was able to solidify a position as
one of the only professional ser-
vices firms with cross-platform ex-
pertise. With the addition of AWS/
Heroku practice in late 2019, Pla-
tive is poised to deliver much more
transformative engagements than a
consultancy that would only focus
in one of the three categories.
Consulting: How is this year shaping
up for your firm?
DelGenio: On top of triple-digit
year-over-year growth, the firm has
come into its own by pairing down
its target verticals from a one-size-fits-all approach, to a more tailored
approach to our six-core verticals.
We have rebranded from GSD
Company to Plative as well, which
is a brand identity far more closely
aligned with our core values, mission, and vision.
Consulting: How would you describe
your firm’s outlook for 2020?
DelGenio: Very positive. We are
currently evaluating expansion op-
portunities in bolstering our existing
skillset as well as expanding into
new markets that our clients can
greatly benefit from like human cap-
ital management and digital strategy.
Consulting: What are your firm’s
biggest challenges in 2020?
DelGenio: Our biggest challenge
is and will continue to be hiring the
right people in the right seats quickly enough to meet client demand.
With our business units quickly
gaining traction, delivery resources
that are heavily specialized in our
target markets become more and
more difficult. We are adapting to
this by developing internal training
engagements and strategies.
Consulting: What does being named
a Fastest Growing Firm mean to your
firm, employees and clients?
DelGenio: It is validation to our
employees that all of their commitment, resilience, and late nights
at work is justified. Our soul is our
people, and they know that they
are our biggest competitive differentiator. I hope this serves to them
as proof positive that they are truly
having a global impact.
