ProcureAbility, founded in 1996, offers advisory, re- source support, analytics
and market intelligence for the
Procurement space. Its delivery
model is unique, says John Evans,
President & CEO. Clients have
access to unbundled resources, plus the ability to add value
through leading-edge methodologies, best practices, and specialized insight—an approach
unheard of in traditional consult-ing/staffing firms. ProcureAbility
transforms traditional, outdated
consulting and staffing models
by offering advisory and resource
support on its clients’ terms. “Our
delivery model is unique. Clients
have access to unbundled resources, plus the ability to selectively
add value through leading-edge
methodologies, the latest best
practices, and specialized insight
and advice—an approach unheard
of in traditional consulting and
staffing firms,” Evans says. “We
aren’t wed to old, static models
and won’t force fit a system on
you. Instead, we flex with your
needs with options that deliver
maximum procurement ability. So
you get procurement how, when,
and where you need it.”
Consulting caught up with Evans to discuss ProcureAbility’s financial
performance and revenue growth.
Consulting: What were the
main factors that contributed
to your firm’s exceptional
growth?
Evans: Our growth has been fueled by two major factors—our
ability to drive innovation for our
clients in the Procurement space
combined with our exceptional resources that we provided through
our consulting and talent network.
Consulting: How is this year
shaping up for your firm?
Evans: 2017 will be our best year
in our 21-year history, from both
a revenue and profitability standpoint. We have had a great year of
diverse clients and projects, and
have also developed some new
advanced procurement analytics
capabilities that we’re excited to
roll out in 2018.
Consulting: How would you
describe your firm’s outlook
for 2018? Where do you see
the most opportunities?
Evans: We’re expecting continued growth in 2018, and see
high growth opportunities in Procurement Transformation support,
Advanced Procurement Analytics,
and Procurement Talent Support.
Consulting: What would you
say are your firm’s biggest
challenges in 2018?
Evans: Our biggest challenge is
one that also fuels our growth—
the scarcity of great talent,
specifically with strategic Procurement skills & experience.
Because of this scarcity, we’re
seeing a huge growth in companies coming to us to provide
consulting support and resources for their Procurement organizations, but that also makes
our job of finding great talent
for our own company that much
more difficult.
Consulting: What does being
named one of Consulting’s
Fastest Growing Firms mean
to your firm, your employees
and your clients?
Evans: This is a great honor for
us—with year-over-year growth
for most of our 21 years in business, being named to the fastest
growing consulting firm list in
2017 makes our achievement that
much more special.
