Newton sat down with Consulting
to discuss Elixirr’s performance.
Consulting: What were the
main factors that contributed
to your firm’s growth?
Newton: There is only one
thing—a laser focus on delivering beyond expectations for our
clients. We’ve always done this
and will always continue to. And
it’s symbiotic. This focus means
we’re able to continually up the
bar in terms of the work our clients ask us to do, which means
we can continue to hold ourselves
to high standards when it comes
to the exceptional quality of our
team and new talent who want to
join Elixirr. We’re a mix of career
consultants, industry practitioners
and entrepreneurs, and I don’t believe you can find this anywhere
else. We’re agile, we move fast
and we continually challenge ourselves to get better and better.
Consulting: How is this year
shaping up for your firm?
Newton: I am extremely proud
to say we are in the best position
we’ve ever been in as a firm. We’ve
just surpassed our highest revenue
month ever and this trend looks set
to continue. We have a client list to
die for and a strong pipeline—the
market is responding to us well. I
believe this is because we are bringing something truly different to the
market—we’re walking the talk that
many consulting firms are not able to
walk, when it comes to embedding
innovation for their clients… and for
themselves. That said we are never,
and must never be, complacent.
Consulting: How would you
describe your firm’s outlook
for 2018? Where do you see
the most opportunities?
Newton: Growth! We continue to grow in Europe and Africa,
and we are seeing strong demand
in the U.S., which is of course, a
huge opportunity. We are increasingly being seen as the leader and
the right consulting partner in the
innovation space, on top of our
strong reputation across more ‘
traditional’ outsourcing and operating model work. We have always
been very clear that the consulting
industry is not immune to disruption, and are looking at ways that
Elixirr can be that disruptor.
Consulting: What would you
say are your firm’s biggest
challenges in 2018?
Newton: Keeping our quality bar
high when it comes to the talent
we bring in to the business is
probably our biggest challenge.
With strong demand from the
market comes the need to increase
our headcount, but we will never
recruit to simply fill positions.
Consulting: What does being
named one of Consulting’s

to your firm, your employees
and your clients?
Newton: We are extremely proud.
I am extremely proud of our
team—what they are doing for
our clients often blows me away!
Like I said before, we could not
have achieved this without them,
so I hope that it reinforces their
passion for building our firm,
and delivering ever-increasing
quality for our clients.
