up with Richard Lyons, CEO &
President, to discuss the firm’s financial performance.
Consulting: What were the
main factors that contributed
to your firm’s growth?
Lyons: We remain steadfast in our
mission to inspire and empower our
clients to realize their commerce
vision and ambitions, whatever
they may be. We know that if our
clients are successful, then we are
successful. We’re fortunate that a
lot of our new business comes from
client referrals. This is a testament
to the talent and commitment of our
team. We have developed a strong
reputation for quality and reliability in the industry. Retailers want to
work with a partner they can trust,
and they know that when they work
with LYONSCG, we will get the
job done right the first time.
Consulting: How is this year
shaping up for your firm?
Lyons: We are seeing great success
in 2017, and it’s looking like we’ll
have another record-breaking year.
We’ve launched many eCommerce
sites for new clients, and have
worked on hundreds of other proj-
ects for existing clients. We’ve also
sharpened our brand and messag-
es to better reflect who we are and
what we stand for. In August, we
launched our new website with a
fresh design, content and engaging
creative. We’re excited to showcase
some of the great work we’ve done
for clients on our site. In Septem-
ber, Capgemini, one of the world’s
largest technology consulting and
professional services firms, an-
nounced that it is acquiring LYON-
SCG. We look forward to joining
this world-class organization and
further expanding our offerings to
better serve our clients.
Consulting: How would you
describe your firm’s outlook
for 2018? Where do you see
the most opportunities?
Lyons: We are really excited for
what’s to come in 2018. As a
Capgemini company, we’ll have
access to many more resourc-
es that will allow us to scale our
business. We have the opportuni-
ty to further expand our offerings,
grow our team, and expand our
global reach. Toward the end of
this year, we are moving to a larg-
er office in London to better serve
our international clients.
Consulting: What would you
say are your firm’s biggest
challenges in 2018?
Lyons: Our standards are very
high and we aim to hire only the
best, and it can certainly be a
challenge to find the right talent.
Consulting: What does being

Lyons: Being recognized by Consulting Magazine is an honor. I
am really proud of our company’s
growth because it demonstrates
