rankings. Sabin Ephrem, President
and CEO of Horizontal Integration,
sat down to discuss the firm’s financial performance and success.
Consulting: What were the
main factors that contributed
to your firm’s exceptional
Ephrem: We’ve expanded our
physical footprint—office space and
to Denver, Chicago and
India in order to meet de-
mand for our services. In
the end, our growth is all
about our people. We flat
out wouldn’t be here if it
weren’t for our smart, di-
verse teams of developers,
designers, strategists, re-
cruiters and so many more.
Consulting: How is this year
shaping up for your firm?
Ephrem: 2016 is hectic in the best
way. We’re on track for another year
of double-digit revenue growth;
we’ve won a number of awards and
we’re busy hiring top talent to deliver exceptional results for clients.
But best of all, we moved our headquarters to a new state-of-the-art
office space so we’d have enough
room for all of the people required
to support demand.
Consulting: How would you
describe your firm’s outlook
for 2017? Where do you see
the most opportunities?
Ephrem: We consider ourselves
pragmatists. Our growth and suc-
cess is the result of careful planning
and a realistic approach to the mar-
ket. That said, we aim to continue
with our aggressive growth strategy,
particularly by continuing to expand
our geographic footprint. We’re
seeing demand and inquiries from
around the world.
Consulting: What would you
say are your firm’s biggest
challenges in 2017?
Ephrem: Our challenges are closely
aligned with our opportunities. It’s
about smart growth and managing
change. Our culture is a big part of
our success and we need to evolve
it carefully to preserve the elements
that matter most.
Consulting: What does being
named one of Consulting’s
Fastest Growing Firms mean
to your firm, your employees
and your clients?
Ephrem: Awards like this really
validate our philosophy and our actions. We keep our heads down: provide excellent service and excellent
solutions, work hard and have fun.
Recognitions like these help confirm
that we’re doing the right things.
