A rapidly growing company, Arc Aspicio focuses on innovation and provides senior-level attention on each individual project for our clients. As Arc
Aspicio embarks on a bold strategy for
the next three years, the firm’s goal is
to maintain its current differentiators
(the mission, our methodology) while
focusing on expanding its capabilities
in data analytics, design thinking, and
reinventing consulting to take advantage of its network of relationships in
our market, says CEO Lynn Ann Casey. Casey sat down with Consulting
to discuss the firm’s extraordinary performance and No. 14 ranking.
Consulting: What were the main
factors that contributed to your
firm’s exceptional growth?
Casey: Our disciplined strategic planning process and focus on developing
our talented employees to be leaders at
all levels substantially contributed to
our growth. In addition, our laser focus on the homeland security mission
means that we can offer unique value
to our Government clients in a complex
and budget constrained environment.
Consulting: How is this year
shaping up for your firm?
Casey: 2016 is a strong year for
Arc Aspicio with an estimated
10% growth. We expanded our ca-
pabilities with several interesting
projects in design thinking and hu-
man capital. We have a very strong
backlog for 2017 at the end of 2016
and excited for the year ahead.
Consulting: How would you
describe your firm’s outlook
for 2017? Where do you see
the most opportunities?
Casey: We are completing our
first of our bold three-year strategy focused on design thinking.
Our most significant opportunities for 2017 include human capital, information technology, design thinking, and cyber security.
We anticipate some level of market change based on the election
results. The company is well-positioned to execute on our strategy
based on the Government’s recent
focus on innovation.
Consulting: What would you
say are your firm’s biggest
challenges in 2017?
Casey: As the gig economy grows,
we see talent as the top challenge.
Our Talent 2020 initiative focuses
on expanding our career tracks to
take advantage of consulting tal-
ent on an ‘as needed’ basis. It also
includes focus on expanding our
recruiting sources, behavior-based
interviewing, and expanding the
use of case study interviews. Com-
