CENTRALIZATION—WEIGHING THE BENEFITS
AGAINST THE RISKS
CEOs of companies that had undertaken centralization or
regionalization initiatives were interviewed to learn from
their experiences. The most frequent argument in support for
centralization is scale economics. However, there are many other
advantages, as well as disadvantages, says Rickard Alfredéen,
founder of Oneforce, a management consulting firm focusing on
growth strategies, pricing and sales performance improvement.
TROUBLE BETWEEN LEADERS?—MAKE IT
A WORKPLACE PROJECT!
When two leaders in an organization don’t get along, everyone
knows it, even when there is no overt conflict or demonstrable
rift. HR personnel may not be equipped to deal with leadership
rifts—or leadership won’t allow them to help because HR is too
many steps below senior leaders on the organizational ladder. And
the longer the problem goes unaddressed, the worse it is, says
Robert V. Keteyian, a leadership and communication coach.

The results of this year’s Executive Outlook survey, combined with exclusive interviews with 15 firm leaders, would indicate a very
positive year lies ahead for the consulting
industry. Based on our interviews, consulting
firm leaders feel as confident as they have in
quite some time. There’s simply no denying they
all feel good about the economy and their firms’
overall financial performance in 2015, and are
especially bullish in their forecasts for the year
ahead. These findings are more than backed up
by our market research.
