Consulting caught up with Elam to discuss it.
Consulting: What were the
main factors that contributed
to your exceptional growth?
Elam: MCG has sustained double-digit growth every year since our
inception more than a decade ago.
The past three years have exceeded
our expectations and our growth is
attributable to our focus on develop-
ing long term relationships with our
clients. We have hired exceptional
talent, enhanced our service offerings
and opened up new offices to drive
growth. Our locally based model al-
lows us to partner with our clients
and respond quickly to their needs.
Consulting: How is 2015
shaping up for your firm?
Elam: We have been very fortunate in 2015 as this year has been
one where we have grown steadily
and continued to build on important
client relationships in several key
industries including financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, hospitality, contract manufacturing, retail & consumer goods.
We are also excited about our
growth in other markets and look
forward to a new office in New
York in early 2016.
Consulting: How would you
describe your firm’s outlook for
2016? Where do you see the
Elam: We are extremely optimis-
tic about the future. Our people are
among the best and brightest with
the expertise and experience that
match market need. There is a grow-
ing demand in the marketplace for
greater value in supply chain en-
ablement, risk management & regu-
latory compliance, and information
management capabilities. There is
tremendous opportunity in helping
organizations use the data and infor-
mation they already have to develop
enhanced decision making capabili-
ties. Our clients see the value but just
need help tapping into and creating
the growth opportunities.
Consulting: What do you see
as the biggest challenges for
your firm in 2016?
Elam: Given the pace of change
in the marketplace, advancing capabilities is a must. At the same
time, staying relevant with service
offerings and value proposition is
critically important. Because we
take great pride in the quality of
our work, we believe maintaining
exceptional customer service is
paramount. To meet the challenges
ahead, we will continue to grow our
capabilities, deliver the highest level of service, and provide guidance
as a trusted partner to our clients.
